A publishing freelance with over 25 years’ experience, I specialise in international development; globalisation studies; politics, philosophy & economics; African studies; Asian studies; social sciences and related topics. I also have a background in biological sciences and practical tropical agriculture. I work on content ranging from academic to general interest.

Bringing these areas together, in 2017 I gained an MA in Communication for Development at Malmö University.

I offer a range of publishing services, from basic copy-editing to rewriting and repurposing, always with the reader in mind. Clients include international development institutions (via Green Ink), and publishers such as Wiley-Blackwell, Pearson and Routledge.

 Layout
Working closely with the text, I also offer intelligent layout and picture research services that can short-circuit the layout process, resulting in documents that work in both visual and content terms. Clients include CTA and NICE.
 Digital
Editorial projects include overseeing digital content quality for OUP’s major product Oxford Scholarly Editions Online. I also have experience in WordPress and other online platforms.
